VOLKSWAGEN Gewürz Ketchup & Currywurst
'Gewürz Ketchup' is a spiced ketchup—called Curry Ketchup in Germany—and its number‑one purpose is clear: topping the legendary CURRYWURST.
Volkswagen Germany, the automaker, runs its own in‑house butcher shop that produces a variety of foods for the company’s cantinas across its production facilities.
I recently had the chance to try their Currywurst sausages along with the accompanying ketchup. You can see the photos above.
So what is Currywurst? The closest U.S. comparison would be a Wiener sausage or a classic hot dog.
In Germany, Currywurst is typically served either in a bun or with fries.

I can confidently say—speaking from my German background—that the VOLKSWAGEN / AUDI Currywurst I tried is probably one of the best in Germany, if not the best. And that fantastic Spiced Ketchup, just delicious!
The bad news for non‑employees: regular customers can’t normally buy it. However, you might get lucky if you ask at a dealership.
Fun fact: the Currywurst actually has its own official VW part number, and according to my sources, it’s the company’s best‑selling “part” of all time.

If you’ve tried the Currywurst or the ketchup, leave a comment and share your thoughts.
Cheers!
